Welcome to the Pyynikin Uimahalli space in the heart of Tampere, where the Korea Center Tampere will open from April to August 2024 (at Pirkankatu 10). This unique centre will allow you to immerse yourself in Korean culture and experiences.

KCT also offers various short courses and workshops, such as calligraphy and meditation, run by the King Sejong Institute Tampere. Several thematic events will also take place during the pilot – on 4 May, the Night of Museums will celebrate May, the month of families.

What does the Korea Center have to offer?

    Please note that wheelchair access to the space is not completely accessible. There are two entrances, one on the left with a three-centimetre step and one with a five-centimetre step. The entrance is 81 cm wide.

    Korea Center’s partners are ACCAC Finland/Esteetön taide ja kulttuuri ry and Vimmar Inclusive Art School, which has operated King Sejong Institute in Tampere since the autumn of 2022.

    he Korea Center Tampere is a five-month pilot, and Operation Pirkanmaa, the legacy program of Tampere ECoC bid, grants the venue. Korea Center will run until the end of August. The pilot aims to find out whether there is a continued interest in Korean culture and whether there is a need to develop the idea further.
